To create the moon animation I started off by looking at the artwork made at the workshop the weekend before (I couldn't attend as it was the weekend of the really bad storms and so all trains were cancelled). Our plan was to create montages of the works slowly being created by taking pictures of the public's work at regular intervals to show the steady progression to be able to use in Moontopia somehow. Using the photographs Katie got of the moon's I had them merge together gradually over a minute or so depending on the number of pictures. I did this for three different artworks, using a circle outline in the same place to line them all up so that I can mask it off to become the background of the animation projected onto the large moon sculpture.
